On-Site Needs
Prior to
approaching Aquila, The Spa at Santa Maria was directed by the Continental
Group--the building management firm. With its business in property
management, the Continental Group wanted to move to offering professional
fitness and spa services. Moreover, the Continental Group wanted to
improve overall club management efficiency and day-to-day operations.
Aquila Solutions
Aquila positioned fitness
and spa teams consisting of degreed and nationally certified managers,
certified personal fitness trainers, Florida State licensed massage
therapists and esthetic practitioners. Aquila effectively managed
day-to-day operations and resident fitness wellness services. A variety
of spa offerings were introduced to build on existing services.
Aquila
oversaw the entire point-of-sale operations ensuring profitability and
success of fee-based programs and services. To offer diverse fitness
instructional programs, Aquila initiated a calendar of events that
consisted of group fitness classes, health and fitness presentations,
outdoor events, mind and body programs and integrative medicine. Aquila
also offered a full menu of massage therapies and skin care services.
Aquila’s personal fitness
trainers provided residents with a personal service that focused on
improving their overall health and wellness. The fitness program based on
the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) standards offered fitness
assessments, fitness program design and individual consultations with
exercise physiologists.
To achieve success, Aquila
implemented its internal marketing and advertising support solutions which
included design, production and delivery of brochures, educational
materials and promotional items. High-level customer satisfaction and
on-going quality was achieved through Aquila’s Quality Improvement (QI)
and Quality Control Plan (QCP) tools.
Client Benefits
The Santa Maria project team
was delivered within two weeks of the task initiation order. The
Continental Group and Santa Maria was presented with a professional team
that delivered effective day-to-day operations, fitness and wellness
programs, and spa services.
The Continental Group and
The Spa at Santa Maria gained significant advantages by reducing
recruitment and operational costs through outsourcing and streamlining
day-to-day operations to Aquila. Moreover, Aquila offered services that
The Spa did not offer before, increasing overall customer satisfaction.
Cost Minimization
Implementation costs were
approximately one fourth less than previous programs and vendors, but
delivered greater benefits.
